Classical Guitar Makers

You'll find classical guitar makers working in small, one room shops that produce only a handful of guitars each year.

You'll find other guitar makers pursuing their art in state-of-the-art factories, capable of finishing hundreds of instruments each day.

Classical guitars, also known as Spanish guitars, can produce beautiful music in the hands of an accomplished player.

And the great players demand the very best guitars, costing many thousands of dollars.

On the other end of the spectrum, beginning students of the classical guitar can get by with lower quality, less expensive instruments.

There are classical guitars made for beginners and masters, and all skill levels in between.

Other Classical Guitar Builders

The Spanish aren't the only ones capable of building fine classical guitars. From the country of Australia you have David Argent and Jim Redgate, who both create guitars from the land down under.

In Canada, La Patrie Classical Guitars are made in one of the guitar production facilities owned by Robert Godin, whose other guitar lines carry the names Godin, Seagull, Art Lutherie and Norman.

In Brazil, the classical Giannini guitar is produced in a factory established in 1900 by Italian luthier Tranquillo Giannini. In addition to its classical guitars, the Giannini factory creates acoustic instruments unique and integral to Brazilian music.

Large-Scale Classical Guitar Manufacturers

Building a large number of classical guitars yearly, these manufacturers mass produce guitars that are affordable, good-quality guitars for beginners.

They also make better quality classical guitars for more accomplished players.

Another of the classical guitar builders that produces guitars on a large scale is Esteban. Trained by Andres Segovia, Esteban now sells a wide array of educational products geared towards beginning classical guitar players.

There are many other guitar manufacturers, each with their own level of quality and manufacturing styles that are unique unto themselves.
