My Classical Fender

by Bill
(So Cal, USA)

My Fender CDN90 is my second classical guitar. What a great guitar it is. My first classical was a no name brand that I bought from Sam Ash. I have small hands and the neck on the CDN90 is a little smaller. It has a nice bright sound. I put D'Addario EJ45's on it and it sounds awesome. Well put together, and a nice finish. A great guitar for someone who is just starting to learn classical guitar. And hey, it's a Fender.

choosing the right size instru
by: jrldev

I am glad to hear that you are happy with the Fender. I did have the same instrument but I found the neck width a little too narrow and
I sold it. In my case i had trouble with the separation between the strings and when trying
to play a single fretted note once in a while
the adjecent string was touched.
The moral of the story is:
Buying a guitar is like buying a pair of shoes
Not One Size Fits All.
By trial and error i discover that the most important factor to consider (for me at least)
in selecting a classical guitar is the neck width and scale length.
Many new players "give-Up" on the instrument
due to have chosen the wrong size ro fit their hands.
