Walter Leoni Classical Guitar, 1989

Walter Leoni Classical Guitar, 1989

Classical guitar by Italian luthier Walter Leoni

Original model, unique item

Built in Parma (Italy), year 1989, by luthier Walter Leoni

Top: spruce

Back and sides: rosewood

Fingerboard: ebony

String length: 655 mm

Sides height: 118 mm

Beautiful sound, warm, intense, powerful, particularly in the basses.

In my opinion it is not suitable for playing 19th century repertoire and brilliant / virtuosistic repertoire, but it is perfect for Bach, Villa-Lobos, Augustin Barrios Mangoré, Ponce, Moreno Torroba, Mompou…and several 20th century and contemporary music.

I was the first owner, I’ve decided reluctantly to sell my guitar after several years, because I started studying lute music a few years ago.
