On being left handed
by: Anonymous

Being left handed has always made it difficult buying a satisfactory classical guitar throughout my some 50 years of playing. I have had to be content with owning guitars mostly built on the right hand bias till very recently. Arthritis in my fretting hand made it necessary to downsize to 650mm scale instruments. My latest purchase was a Loriente Marieta. Built symetrical with a non compensated saddle slot, it has a sound comparable to my wife's 2005 Ramirez 1a 650 traditional. Really! Could not be happier with it. Best wishes to all, especially us left handed players. Philip Conrad

lefthanded guitar
by: Anonymous

I'm Lefthanded too and I purchased a guitar from Felipe Conde shop last december in Madrid. At his shop, he replaced the bridges on the neck and the body and restringed the guitar, the process took less than 1 hour and the guitar was lefthanded. I know that guitars are not symetrical inside and that makes a difference in sound but my guess is that we then talk about realy good players aiming to perform at big concets etc. For me the minor adjustment was enough with the stuent guitar in 2500 euro range.

A very good friend of mine Arash form Arash guitatrs (www.arashguitars.com) is the genreal importer of Ramirez, Conde and Paco de Lucia guitars in middle east. He lives in Tehran Iran and he often travels to Madrid and can get you a lefthanded guitar from Spain.
