Has anyone ever got a response from the seller?
I own an early 1970's 5024, and would consider selling if price was right.

I have the same guitar model 50-24 by: Anonymous
I have the same model Alvarez Guitar I bought it back in the early 70's for just under $350.00. It has the date inside 1-3-74 with model 50-24.
The body is a burgundy, with rose and dove design. The bridge has adjustable saddles with pearloid inlays. It also has the serial number # 120636 inside. Can you till me more about it? It still has great sound for me being 72 years old!
I'm actually finding time to play it now that I'm retired.

check the label for dateNEW by: Anonymous Marco
Mine is dated 25/4/78, made in Japan of course, the date is April 25, 1978. Look inside the sound hole and the label should clearly state the day of manufacture. Mine has a low profile tune-o-matic style bridge so the intonation is excellent, and the action is really low. It has unmarked sealed tuners and plays really well. I love the way it looks and sounds. I have a bunch of costly Gibson electric guitars but only a few acoustics. I'm glad to have this one. It has a transducer mic set into the top and there's a 1/4" jack on the lower bout. I don't know if the mic is after market. I got mine on ebay 12/2011 and got it for a very good price, $215 shipped with a hard shell case. Heh heh. They usually go for about $350 these days. One early 70's 5024 with a Gibson style crest on the headstock and "Alvarez" in script went for $515 + S&H on ebay.

1971 5024NEW by: Anonymous
I own at least one of the older 5024 models, with the Alvarez in Script on the headstock. Thinking of selling, if anyone is intersted.
