The Especial uses a unique bracing system similar to that used in the Imperial but tailored for the woods and dynamics of the Especial.

The Especial's design produces a guitar with excellent volume and tonal beauty.

Wood used for the Especial can be spruce or cedar which has been aged over a 20 year period.

The sides are double thickness utilizing Madagascar Rosewood for the outer with an inner lining of Indian rosewood.
