Good instrument
by: Anonymous

If it is like others I have heard than I know it to be good. Sadly, I am not in need now. I'll pass the word.

Hard shell case included that fits like a glove. Really a handsome guitar with great sound quality for the price. If interested email me at hymell@comcast.net.

soundhole label
by: Chaz

Could you please post a photo of the soundhole label? Also, What wood is used for the neck and fingerboard.
Are the back, sides, and top solid wood or laminate? Thanks.

did you know?
by: Anonymous

Did you know these were assembled in Japan designed by spanish makers through Sherry Brener? Quite a story behind them.

Yes, so what?
by: Lin

Yes, that much is clear from the label. Spanish makers provided the design and materials, with assembly in Japan. That may not be a common pattern, but there are excellent guitar makers in Japan, which has a long tradition of fine woodworking. The workmanship on this guitar is excellent for its price range.

too expensive
by: David

$2000 for a factory made guitar with laminated rosewood back and sides is way too much. You can get a handmade guitar for a better luthier from Paracho for less than that. I have a Dauphin guitar, laminated Brazilian rosewood back and sides that sounds awesome. Paid $550 in 1985. You can get one used for less on ebay or Craigslist.

Cost calculation
by: Lin

David, I appreciate your comment, but I paid $500 for this guitar in 1975, and that's $2000 in today's money. It's in nearly new condition, plus it has several upgrades, including new $200 tuners, bone saddle, and lower action. It sounds and plays better than it did when new. $2000 is the asking price.
