The David Argent classical guitar is hand built to exacting standards. Argent constructs his guitars to give a high degree of comfort and playability.
Sweet Tone
The sweet tone, powerful volume, strong sustain and traditional sound are cited by players as the characteristics of an Argent classical guitar.
Spruce and Cedar are used for soundboards depending on the player's preference. A distinctive feature of the Aussie's guitars is the beautiful sound hole rosette which incorporates the Sturt's Desert Pea (Australia's National Flower).
Built For Strength
A specially reinforced neck and fingerboard are said to give stability to the neck and guitar action. Special construction techniques have been developed to add strength to the guitar body.
A durable finish is obtained by spraying the guitars with an acrylic lacquer which is cut back by hand. This is then polished to a high gloss. This is to create a finish that is not only hard wearing but is also easy to clean.
