Here is a gorgeous and beautiful sounding 8-string terz guitar built by Stephen Kakos. It was commissioned in 1992 and it was used by the reknown Minneapolis Guitar Quartet on the first two CDs and in concerts across the US. Alan decided to rejuvenate the then tired spruce top by commissioning one of Australia's top luthier, Kim Lizzarague with a latticed braced cedar top and he also replaced the ebony fingerboard. Kim used mastergrade quality cedar and ebony. He finished the top with very thin coat of matt lacquer. The result is amazing full clear tone. It has perfect intonation and great playability inspite its wider fingerboard.
