1979 Ramirez 1a -- Cedar top / Indian rosewood $5,000

This guitar has all the qualities that you expect from an old Ramirez! Potent volume, deep bass, rich midrange, and sweet trebles, all combine for a soul-warming experience. "1a" is the professional model, and this instrument is ready for any concert hall.

This is a beautiful guitar that is in excellent shape with no cracks or repairs; even the finish is in great shape considering its age. I put on new Fustero tuning keys, but I still have the originals along with the original hard-shell case.

A few years ago I did a side-by-side comparison with a new Ramirez 1a, and the 1979 model put the new one to shame. I love this Ramirez, but...

I have several professional model guitars and in my older years, I've decided that I like the spruce-top sound a bit better. There are many songs I play that just sound better on a cedar top, especially on this Ramirez. But I can't own them all, and money is tight for me right now, so I'm reluctantly selling my beloved Ramirez.

I'm asking $5,000 for this 1979 Ramirez 1a, and I'm convinced that it is worth much more than that. If you've ever wanted to own a fine professional guitar, this is your chance. You could spend a lot more money for a lot less guitar. You will love this baby.

Underpriced?
by: Kirby

I have a feeling that I underpriced my Ramirez 1a. I've heard several $10,000-$15,000 guitars that do not sound nearly as good as my Ramirez. But it's hard to sell a nice guitar when you live in the sticks.

Action
by: Kirby

John,

It is very hard to answer this question, because everybody's hand and feel is different. I don't find this Ramirez all that hard to play. I did lower the bridge saddle a little. I have not found this Ramirez to play any harder than any other guitar of similar quality.

Ramirez guitar 1a 1971
by: John Ramsunder

Hello my friend. Can you tell me that the action of your 1979 ramirez is tit the same height as the 1971 models. I am not to clear as some people on the internet mentioned that these guitars with the high action is difficult to play. Is this correct?. If so let me know how did you fid playing the guitar on the high action or did you lower the action or left it in its original form. I am from South Africa. I would really appreciate if you could give me a feed back on the above questions. Is your guitar still for sale as well?.
